Default Cooling fan relay

Hi.

Noticed in this warmer weather my cooling fan is staying turned on after I stop the engine. It will stay on indefinitely. To stop I need to tap the relay in the engine fuse box.

Now being an electronic clutz I need to know of a relay can fail and if so are the signs i have a relay fail?

Where can I get a new relay?

Is the issue caused by my AEM ems interfering with Cooling Fan?

All help/comments welcome.

Another thing, I swapped the cooling fan relay with the condenser fan relay. This resulted in the condenser fan being stuck on when ignition was turned off.

Any replacement relays? Had a look in halfrauds today, couldnt see the relay I needed.

The AEMS will keep the fan running if you have the settings wrong. If you switch the engine off and leave it for a 30 seconds or so and then turn the ignition on then the heat soak on the coolant sensor will cause the fan to trigger in the AEM settings. I have set mine so it comes on about the same time as the standard fan switch.

Your issue does sound more like the relay thou. Its probably a honda part and you will find it on hondaoriginalparts.com

Thank you, I have never had this issue in the past / last summer when I had the EMS so I am almost certain the issue is relay related.

As said earlier the Comp fan went nuts when engine was off so I thinking sticky relay.

Will have a gander on lings tomorrow to see what I can find.

Any proper motor factor or auto electrician should stock them (not Halfrauds) maybe even eBay. And defiantly the relay, you tap it and it stops, you swap it with the aircon one and the fault goes with the relay.

There you go whole lot so plenty of spares.
