Default Cost of Body Repairs

Hi guys,

A few months ago some door-knob reversed into the S whilst it was parked in a carpark. They hit the driver's door and caused a fist sized dent in the panel. The 'skin' has not been broken.

Looking to sell the S now and got the local repair shop to quote. Details came in the post today .....

That actually works mint on the right kind of dent.

Worth a shot for sure

You can do it with Nos, works the same, freeze the dent then warm it up fast (best with paint stripper gun at a 8 to 10" distance) loud bang and hey presto!!

Can not even tell on my mates BMW Z4 door.

There's a vid of this on youtube somewhere.

What sort of dents would it work on? I've a tiny wee dent on my door panel but I didn't think it would work on it so haven't tried it.

Not heard of that one!

Does it work on door dings, or just large dents?

What happens to the poor paint?

Take the door skin off and push it out yourself.

If not I have found this guy pretty good;

If the paint hasnt split it comes out perfect, id say works best on dents over 30mm diametre althought has been known to work on car park dings.
