Default Cracked Windscreen

Guys

Picked up a nasty crack (that's growing at an alarming rate!).

Anyone have experience of good / bad windscreen replacement companies with respect to the S2000?

Thanks!

John

Had my new car 3 days when a stone caused a whopping spider. Repair couldn't sort it, so had a replacement screen from Autoglass at Crawley.

The rear view mirror seems to have a vibration (so that I couldn't see a number plate for example) - think I'll start a thead.

My rear vire mirror had exactly the same problem....a smallis phillips head screwdriver fixed it..if you look at the stem that attaches it to the screen you can see a screw hole....a couple of twists...fixed!

I had a busted screen last December. Autoglass did the job. I rang them Friday, they said they'd have to get a screen as it wasn't in stock. They came on the Monday at 11:00. Took 45 mins to do the job on my office car park. Very efficient, careful and conscientious. Excellent job, I have to say.

My screen cracked back in October - replaced with a Pilkington screen by RAC Autowindscreens, very good job.

Again, reading the other replies on here, some of the windscreen companies don't seem to understand how the rear view mirror fixes on. Mine was just pushed back on, and I needed to tighten up the screw like a few others have mentioned...

Matt.

Mark,

That was my windscreen they did before, mine cracked last summer.
Quite an alarming job as the windscreens are very tight, but the guy who did mine did a magnificent job, but he told me that he used to work for Auto Glass and they were not as good, could be sour grapes but the story he told me while he did my screen was concerning to say the least
Cannot recommend these guys enough, only issue is that they had to wait an extra few days for OEM screen to arrive from Japan, but I did not mind as it was original equipment

Must be some sort of initiation from the Lord !......600 yards into my first dual carraigeway romp and a rock lands in my windscreen. Still..I suppose it could have landed in the middle of the bonnet !
