Just a quick question. Should i drive with the roof down even though its been bangled, or should a hide away roof up with the shame of it all ?

Thanks I just have this nagging doubt it will never be the same again, anyone else have experince of repairs on this scale ? Will it ever be 100% again ?

If it's just panel damage it will be fine - if it has knocked the chassis...........

How badly damaged is the front wing? Seems to be just the door on the pics.

Bad news. But agreed on the comment about how long door was open for (and also how far, I guess).

If you flung it open into their path and a split-second later they hit it, as you say, your bad. If you opened it, left it, pause, bang, then there is a strong argument that they were going too fast around the corner, even though you were on double-yellows.

Similar thoughts if it was only ajar - if they were within say 2ft of your car to hit it, then they probably weren't giving you enough clearance, although if you opened it into their path it would at best be 50/50.

Hope she gets sorted out properly!!!
