Default Crazy wipers!

When I use my wipers they don't switch off! If I put them on intermittent, full etc they just stay on when I trun them off, its been driving me insane, can't even squirt my screen without them remaining on. To get them too stop I have to switch the engine off.

Phone my dealer this morning, they think its a dodgy wiper motor, its going in on Wednesday for a new one. Can't say that this car appears to be anymore reliable than any other that I have owned

Moff, don't tell me it's inheriting the S3's reliability :-s

I agree with Pappa Eagle!

It must be the relay sticking. For it to be the motor, it must be getting the power from elsewhere.

I had this with a Nissan Primera once - wiper wouldn't go off.

Faulty relay was the diagnosis - IIRC cost about

oh well, they have ordered a new motor so they better sort it as I have a 400 mile drive the following day to Carlisle, and I bet it rains

Dreamer, its not as unreliable yet, but time will tell. Its way more exciting to drive, so that makes up for it

I'm hoping so Moff - you've inspired me to make the swap

I saw some "RainX Rejuvenator" for your washer fluid in Halfords yesterday - if it works that sounds like a lot less effort than re-doing the RainX !

Not impressed with Rain X. Applied it, worked very well at getting rid of heavy rain and larger rain drops, but when I need to use the wipers for spray or drizzle it was crap. Before applying the rain X my BOSCH wipers would glide across the windscreen with no noise, even when dry and now, they squeak and they smear

No more rain x for me, although I will continue to use on the side windows.

ps just noticed it was my S2k birthday on Saturday woh hoo
