Default Creaky Suspension

Hi guys

I've noticed recently the S rear suspension creaking when I get out of the drivers seat (no jokes about being a lard arse please )

Anybody come across this? I'll mention it at the next service (due in 4k miles) but is it worth doing something before?

Ta!

Noticed this on mine . I think it may be just the cold weather, certainly hear it more on the early mornings and seems to get quieter on longer drives.

Dreamer, I'd report it to dealer ASAP and ask their opinion. In any event ask them to log it on the vehicles service record.

DIY fix - clean all bushes etc around suspension and squirt with waxoyl. (best used hot in this weather)

If it's just when you're getting out, it's likely that the handbrake isn't tight enough.

How can the handbrake make the suspension creak? It's def. suspension not the brakes...

I've thought the same on previous cars, and once the handbrake was tightened it went away. Thought it was worth mentioning. Try pulling the handbrake up as much as you can tonight and see if it still happens.
