Guys,

I mate of mine has just purchased a new CTR and is in the market for a HKS exhaust. Any ideas on the best place to buy and have fitting done and what kind of price we are looking at.

You're probably best having a look on the CTR forums (http://www.civictype-r.co.uk) or Honda-R (http://forum.hondarevolutions.com/).

Deano, he can have a look at www.hkseurope.com which has a list of approved suppliers and distributors. He can find one local to him and then give them a bell.

As for what sort, not really sure. I know that they do single pipe version of the Hiper, which is what I have - I think Tachbrook Honda even sells an "HKS CTR" from new, with the Hiper exhaust and the suction kit and manifold fitted.

 

From what i'm led to believe HKS don't do a system for the CTR yet. He will be very lucky to find a system that fits straight on coz the Jap CTR Cat has a different shape.
The closest Jap system that will fit is the GReedy Trust Muffler which is made for the US Civic Si and this only requires a small amount of tweaking to get it to fit.

Mugen are working on a system for the euro CTR but is hasn't been released yet, that's the one i want to get fitted.

Magnex do one to for the euro version too if he want's the Boy Racer Max Power look!!

As Mark says, Tachbrook Honda in Solihull DO supply a HKS fitted CTR.
