Default Current used S2000 prices

I've seen some crazy bargains on here over the last few weeks and no-one seems interested in buying S2000s any more.

Is it any different to normal?

I had 2 people PM me about mine and was only up for a week.

Think its the time of year.

The bushes thing does put me off, and while mine are good, to ensure they aren't going to go bad I still have to get them out, grease them and then get the Geo done again - so its quite a bit of time and money.

It's a bad time of year to be sure, but normally the trade price cars are snapped up as bargains.

I was in Norton Way Honda last saturday buying a CRV and it was empty.

Salseman told me it had been like this for a few weeks and put it down to the uncertainty caused by US lending fiasco and few people wanting to commit to credit agreements.

Also not many people around that could pay with big lumps of cash ....... so they were prepared to do good deals to shift stock.

I don't think the bushes has much to do with it, most buyers wouldn't know about it. And if they did, they'd just make sure they'd check for it rather than not buy at all.

Worst time of year for selling, cash going into xmas etc. same as just after new year as people set budgets etc.

March to October is time to sell cars. As a buyer you could get bargains outside this period, problem is that less people are selling so less choice, catch-22 really.

plus credit becoming more expensive rumours, couple of base rate hikes starting to have an effect, seeing lees "consolidate your millstone of debt into a more manageable millstone" ads too.

Borrowing bubble seems to have burst and luxury items such as sports cars aren't something most people have got lumps of cash for.
I dont think its anything to do with seized bushes!

I guess petrol prices aren't helping either, I wonder how many people see a Golf TDi's 50mpg and forget about sports cars.

I'll be buying my first S in Jan so anyone with a black S2000 for approx 14000 pounds let me know. Yeah, no one seems to sell around this time of year because there just isnt the demand.
