Not a fan of custom exhausts mainly due to the noise. They all make your car sound like a Nova with a drainpipe hanging off the back, slowly meltin the fibre glass bumper.

True, but i honestly can't tell with a custom exhaust. They're just all bass and no treble.

I find the Invidia unbearable and think it really kills the sound of the S, which has a very "engine flavoured" exhaust note. That should be cherished IMO.

I really want to hear Saxo Boy's Spoon N1. I think that's the type of system I'd buy.

Yeah, a "proper" one would be nice .. but I'm not going to spend a load on this car (I did that with the last).
So it was a weekend project and the money I saved went to a good cause (Ben's beer and chinese take out fucnd).
I followed an S2000 a while back at a reasonable speed down the M4 (in my MR2) and it had a single spoon exit and a baffle in, it sounded horrid. Like a demented wasp farting .. this custom just bellows, round the country lanes during the week I got it nice and hot and @ 8500~9000 it sounded like it was tearing the air apart

Talking of country lanes, I've been exploring off the beaten track in south Oxfordshire the last few lunchtimes - Ewelme, Ipsden, Nuffield etc....shot through a golf course at 70 this afternoon thanks to nsl straight roads and nearly got a ball in my face. I saw it cross the road in front of me
