Hi all,

I'm due to travel to the states tomorrow and hopefully buy a DAB radio, Alpine cos I've alredy got the modifry DCI.

Just wondering does anyone have experience of such, will it work over here or not??

I've got a feeling I read Sirius/XM won't pick up our satellites; bit like Sat-Nav doesn't.

All I can suggest is you buy a cheapo DAB portable as soon as you get there and express mail it to a mate in Dublin and let him tell you if THAT works!

The former is 2.33Ghz or thereabouts
The latter is 157 IIRC Mhz

So no chance of it working.

 

If it's DAB standard, then yes.

But the US doesn't use DAB.

They don't have DAB in the USA. They have XM satellite

You also should check the DAB coverage in Eire, as IIRC only 36% coverage.
