Dash Marks

Dash Marks
Hey Guys,
A few of my S2000s have had marks on the dashboard on the passenger side due to scuffs. Has anyone ever used anything that managed to mask them up? My car has quite a few of them and they really bug me!
Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't know if it will help with scuffs, but I use Auto Glym Leather Cleaner on my dash, and it works a treat! The instruction on the pack say it is also suitable for vinyl and when I tried it I was delighted with the result. A nice matt finish (my dash is blue) without any smears or streaks. It may be worth a try.

There are dash repair specialists out there that may be able to help. I have a few marks I'd like to get looked at. When I worked in a garage we used to get a guy in that would fill in the holes left by screw in phone kits. When he was finished there was no way, no matter how hard you looked, to tell once there were drilled holes there!
The S has a slightly padded vinyl dash though so it may be harder. I suggest googling dash and trim repairers and see who is around you.

You're probably going to shoot me down for saying this but...
Have you tried normal household spray polish?
This is what I use on mine and it seems to make it look so much better.
Minvo.

It will look nice but the question is for how long? The household spray polish you are using might have ingredients inside which might not be friendly with the dash material. So eventually it might make your dash crack or have discoloreation. Just a thought

IMHO household polishes leave that horrible shiny look that 2nd hand car dealers car dealers tend to favour so much.
What about having the dash re-trimmed in alcantara with seats and steering wheel to match.

a little liquid leather cream is good and it won't make things shiny. If you're brave a magic sponge is a light abrasive but if you go too hard with it you'll remove the finish of the plastic and make it look worse than when started.

I used to carry out smart repairs for BMW and i also had my own company. You can get a guy out to refinish the damaged part of the dash. They'll use a SEM leather and vinyl repair system for a permanent repair. Make sure you research first and find someone decent.
