Remove plastic housing around the steering column
Loosen steering column bolts and drop column down for clearance
Remove plastic plugs under speedometer cowl & remove screws (I thnk those are the only screws)
Pry, carefully, the bezel away from the dash.
Insert long skinny fingers behind bezel to unplug a million wires
Pull bezel away from dash

The radio and heater controls come off with the bezel.
Cheers dude I'll give that a try

As the dash is a mirror image why not make the bracket symetrical along the horizontal centre line

That way it would fit LHD and RHD just by rotating it 180 in the vertical

You would need to be able to fix from either side of the mount though!

Just another of the wall idea, how about copper paint on the braket instead of flat ribbon cable. Then laquer other to given insulation. The only thing is I would be concerned about the robustness of it all, specially where the bracket mount goes between the bezel and the dash.

If a think of some more wierd zany ideas I will let you know
