Default Dash removal

How big a job is it to remove the dash? I have got a navigation bezel so I can fit my gauges in it but need to take the dash out to fit the backing plate. Unless someone can tell me how to get the backing plate in without removing it.

Cheers

Matt

Hello Matt,

Do you have a JDM dash or you need to cut your dash to fit the navigation bezel? I am asking because i have cut mine to fit the OEM JDM bezel

It was not as big job as it looked like. The difficult part was to take the right measurements before you start cutting as you cannot make any mistake. I had to buy a spare dash to test it out first and after cut my own dash. We did it together with a friend of mine who has done this before. You also need to cut a smaller hole at the beginning and work the way as cutting it big at the begging might end up having spare space around the bezel. You also need to keep some of the dash material (without the foam which the dash has at the back) close to the edges to glue it at the rear of the dash (i am sorry i do not know how to eplain it in English. I can take any measurements you like from my own dash to help you out, you just have to use them in the oposite way as my car is LHD
