great result. Not sure I'd put 9 hours into it though! Isn't that a little obsessive?? Especially considering the changeable weather and crapping birds!

Easynow, I've come to that conclusion!

I've bought a Porter-Cable random orbital thingy & some Meg' dual action cleaner polish. Ten stages of Zaino my arse!

It takes a bit of getting used to (basically you have to be farking aggressive with it!) but it eliminates swirl marks & shit. Bugger to get the white stuff out of the corners though.

Gay barring & final waxing are necessary evils, especially since the Civ' & 'Lude tend to be outdoors.

Still takes a couple of hours of buzzing. Feels like you've done 100 miles on a Ducati, what with the arms tingling afterwards. Went to the last Herts meet after doing the Civ - beer & fag were shaking like I'd the DTs.

I wish my car looked like that, at 47 k miles the front end is a stone chip fest, and about six on bonnet the front bumper assembly is shot blast, the windscreen is fully shot blast and covered in chips and feels rough to the touch. So am i driving to fast ? Many chips on front down to black plastic on bumper.

only cure i can see in near future is respray, then stop driving it!!!

Er so i think respray and keep driving cos otherwise wot is the point I am not going to put it in a museum and a shiny worn out car is not worth much more in resale terms, I think ?

Talking of chips, I got more chips on my S from the Penine meet the
other week than I ever did on track days in my fibreglass Lotus.

Next time im staying well back!

Clay Bar is available for 24 hour on-line ordering at www.raceglaze.co.uk and other great alternative websites, none of which come to mind apart from www.morethanpolish.com
(This is a blatant plug for my own websites and I know the clay really works as I use it myself....)

What I will say its this is what gives the car the really smooth feel when you run the back of your hand over it. I polsihe dmy car but it never looked quite right, this got the really sticky bits off it that really make the shine.

Does anyone use the new nano technology products as advertised in the Sunday papers ? I used a shampoo once, found it attracted the dust terribly due to being negatively charged particles. Wondered if anyone else has had experiences ?
