Default De-cats.

Guys and Gals,

What are peoples experience with Decats, I have seen ridiculous prices for decats when after all its just a connecting pipe.

I have a Ricks header and a Mugen cat back system but am looking to drop the cat out also to get the best flow.

I refuse to pay top wack for a TODA (£242) one though and have seen the cheap and cheerful Japspeed one, £89.

Anyone got any experiance with these cheap decats??

I got the cheapest on on ebay from the UK - came next day with all the bolts and gaskets. Fitted perfectly, looked mint. Dunno how long it ll last but at £63 (iirc) it wouldnt be the end of the world if it died after a winter.

I'm sure that the Berk Decat is a different length to the oem cat, which is why it pulls the exhaust pipes a little out of alignment.

Garage R. Cheap, cheerful, and Rob is a nice guy. I prefer to support smaller vendors rather than the larger corporates.
