Default Dealing with Amber

Some of you might have read my post before it was stopped on the problems I had with CTL re "the price you see is the price you pay no hidden extras" Well no matter whoever was in the right or wrong I then chose to buy a different exhaust from Jason at Amber, it has been a pleasure to do business with him.

He did not charge any hidden extras even though his price was a special offer he kept everyone informed daily and worked his socks off in trying to keep to his promise on getting the stuff out in time for Xmas. I bet the guys at the Blueflame factory were sick of hearing from him!

So big thumbs up from me to Jason well done

Jason has always been useful for me in Jersey so I have to agree.

Bought My polybushing, Spoon castors and Blueflame system from him now and removal of VAT has been nothing but a dream and delivery prices are more than reasonable.

That being said it would be nice if some of the other traders spent a little more time on both the VAT issue and striving to offer delivery at all. I know VAT/delivery to here can be a pain but it's certainly the extra mile Jason at Amber has taken which has got him the sales and my vested interest in anything I might want in the future!

Got a link or info please?

As a prospective customer I had reservations about not being able to pay CTL by VISA.
I simply don't trust anyone these days, especially with high value purchases made unseen.
A bank transfer is NOT going to happen with someone I have never met.
So they lost my business over that.

PM if you prefer, as they pay to use this site I'll not be surprised to see this locked

Let's hope these comments are taken on board constructively. I have to agree with you Steve, I've never come across a trader that has refused to carry out a card transaction over the phone.

The last 3 digits on the card and card holder address are there for a reason....

Hello,

I would not post on another traders 'congrats' however we have been mentioned.

We do accept card payments and now even accept Solo however we do not accept card payments on special / one off offers due to there being a 3-7% charge ( card dependant ) and does not land in our account until 5 working days later.

As said many many times by people, buying and selling has to work both ways, with our prices being extremely low we cant afford to loose anymore on card charges.

This being said we have spoken to Jason and seems a very nice chap indeed and look forward to the 2010 year.

Thanks

That was my reason for complaining in the 1st place but most seemed to think he was right in adding on charges for Paypal even though his slogan says the exact opposite!

He lost any business I would have put his way as like him I want some security when buying thats why I wanted to use a credit card and then Paypal. Can you imagine stuff lost/damaged in transport or not as described etc and you have done a bank transfer not an ideal situation.

Anyway his business and good luck to him I am sure he is trustworthy and has many happy customers on here.

As for Amber, Jason set himself up to be shot at claiming the items would be shipped before Xmas and fair play to him he did everything he could to make it happen.
