Dean's Screens
I took the easy way out & got NWHL's sub-contractor to do it.
If anyone wishes to avoid the usual grief, I would recommend him.
He went on his own because he was offered a troubleshooters' job at, shall we say AutoArse, sorting out other fitters' FUBARS.
Needless to say, he is prepared to take a bit longer over the job if necessary, and the result is a very neat, tidy job with absolutely no mess to the car or my garage.
He had to use the new rubber that I supplied (they are a very complex shape and the wire reinforcements tend to snap when being removed).
We talked over the problems people had had with early replacement failures. He has heard of it, but was unable to suggest an exact cause.
The best recommendation is to allow the mastic sealant a full 24 hours to gain maximum bond strength, before driving the car. This I shall now do.
Although the screen surround costs
