Default Decals

I'm (rather hurriedly) considering some decals for the JAE. Nothing too in-yer-face but I was thinking of getting "GrittyShaker" along the side-skirts or suchlike.

I know there's quite a few who hate decals on here so, bearing that in mind, does anybody have any constructive suggestions?

Thanks

Scott, as we were discussing, I think you need to ask about opinions about putting the decals over stone chips though. Wouldn't it trap tiny drops of water?

I hope some experts will come along.

Ah yes. I forgot about that bit.

As The Woman says, there are a few nasty stone-chips in that area, will I get decent adhesion? And will it cause any further damage if I go ahead with it?

So long as the surface was dry when you applied the decals, and there was a good seal over them you shouldn't have a problem.

I wouldn't ask other opinion on stuff like this, as it's your car so you should do what you want to it.

I'd go for it

You apply decals with water

I would have thought it is fine, I've had a various amount on mine with no issues. It may only be a problem if the chip has taken away all the paint???? Not sure.

Plus if you are only putting them on for a short time it will be fine.

That's a very good point.

There is quite a bit of paint missing TBH. I'm worried that, if I did it, it would draw attention to the damage. I suppose that's my main concern.

Thanks for the advice.

OK. Got some ordered from vipergrafix. They'll probably look roughly (if not exactly) like this:

I feel so
