Thumbs up A dedicated forum for sharing drive routes?

After seeing another Blurter epic mini tour, it got me thinking...

Could we have a forum of some kind for sharing our private creations?
If we could also have a way to exchange satnav itinerary files and descriptions that would be excellent.
Often all these posts get buried, and they are not so easy to search.
The simple poll is to guage interest initially.

Ideally we could find a way to index or control content, maybe by location and route length.

So, how about a 'one-stop route shop' ?

I would just do it via a normal thread, Steve.

Good idea, but i fear it wont get populated with enough info to warrant it's own forum.

Trouble with a route thread Mark, is when it drops off page whatever, finding it again with the crapy search will be neigh on impossible - possibly a sticky thread is the answer??

Search works fine if it's not in Off Topic, Pie.

I use it most days - as long as it has a significant word in the title it's pretty good.

It could always be "stickied" but depends on the interest...

I proposed something like this around 4 years ago, but it kind of petered out.

I like the idea a lot and i hope it is a goer this time.

I'd be nice not only to get UK routes but also European routes.

Good idea - imo have a sub-forum for driving routes, and use the title of the topic to reflect the route. Then it's a listing of routes, as opposed to having to search the main forum, or having to trawl through one long thread.....

I too think this is a good idea.

Just don't want my routes clogged up with bloody S2000's

Aren't you afraid it will impact on your book sales Dave?
