Went to for some pub grub last night in the Dales. Parked up in the only remaining space at the front of the pub, leaving what I thought was enough space between the next car and me. Going dark when we came out so drove straight home, car in garage.
Whilst at work today a guy mentions the dent on my rear wing?

My advice is to go back to the pub, get hold of some CCTV footage, get the reg, track em down and smash the fu*k out of their bag of french crap with a baseball bat.
On a serious note I know a good guy in Leeds who will do a quality job at mates rates if you every cross to this side of the pennines. (with regard to fixing your dent, not smacking other peoples cars

I have picked up a dent in my rear wing just forward of the fuel filler cap........got it parked in the multi-story
I'd also be interested to know the best way to get it out..........I was going to ask the dealer to do it as part of the next service

I just can't believe why people don't respect each other's property. The same thing happened to my first s2000. "Fortunately" I saw it happening so I caught him. His insurance ended up paying for the removal of the dent, so checking the CCTV footage would be a good idea. Not only will it save your ins. premium, but it will also teach them a lesson !
Er - pub car parks with CCTV coverage??
What sort of pubs do you lot go to?
Sorry to hear about the dent, Blurter. If you've ever seen any of the threads on here about car parking, you'll realise why a lot of people always park their cars as far away from the supermarket as possible. My missus hates this, but it's one of the best way to avoid getting dings - park where no-one else will want to park.
hope you get it sorted soon with the minimum of fuss.

I noticed when I did an internet search for dent removal with the likes of Chipsaway and Dent Wizard that they some times use suction as a method to remove dents which should work for you in this case.
Run a check I'm sure you'll find something which proves to be less expensive than going through a body shop that will probably want to fill the dent and then spray over it.

Thanks guys.
Don't think they have any CCTV but I'll give um a call.
Thought I pracitced the "strategic parking principle", but sometimes shit happens I suppose.
The thought of someone filling and painting the whole rear panel worries me. I'll try the dent boys, but other than that I might just leave it.
Still
tho

If the dent is 'sharp', unfortunately you'll need it filled and sprayed to repair it. The Dent Master people will not be able to push that out as good as new, as they would do with a dent that was smooth.
blurter,
there has been a few people with the same complaint on the forum.
this happened to my car:
picked up new from dealer, checked over car, great. drove home 10 miles dent on o/r wing. on closer inspection it was like a crease going down the wing. i phoned up dealer (at 1st. not very helpful) and told them i was bringing it back in a week for them to fix it f.o.c. during the week the crease turned into 2. on above the other. they took the car back and fixed it, they said the brackets for the hard top to fix to was not aligned properly. all repairs were rectified under warranty.

Dents are a real nightmare nowadays. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
I can prove how bad things have become through an experiment I conducted.
Have had the S for year and only collected two bits of damage. One dent arrived while the dealer had the car, the other damage was a malicious scratch on the lower rear bumper that happened when I left the car parked in a way it couldn't be dented.............
Generally, I am ultra vigilant and the car has remained very smart as a result. Currently mint.
Meanwhile............
Some might remember that my local Ford dealer crashed my P reg Scorpio when it was in for a service. Cutting a long story short, they had to respray every panel. So it was perfect, with 143K! Anyway, I decided to conduct my experiment by parking the Scorpio in all the places I would never park the S. It's my 'A to B via the tip vehicle' so I wasn't worried about preserving its condition. I just park it anywhere there's space.
That was five months ago. Guess what? Every panel, all doors, tailgate, both bumpers and the mirrors have a dent or a scratch. One scratch even appeared on the roof. Bonnet is still perfect tho!
Unbelievable.
