I did check a couple of the other ones, do you have a pic of the ones you're thinking about?

p.s. MAP Sensor has arrived! Will fit it tomorrow and let it relearn the idle with both the new O2 and MAP...

When you refit the map sensor, dont forget to grease the O ring that sits between the map sensor and the throttle body.

The sensors on mine sit at the back right and back left of the rocker cover as you stand at the front of the car looking into the engine bay.

A dab of High temp urea grease ok? Will have a look at the other sensors when I get under the hood tomorrow...

Doesn't even need as much as a dab - it just needs a light coating on the O ring

oh and do NOT over tighten the screws that hold it in - nipped up is fine

I've had to use molegrips on those buggers many a time!

Best replacing them with cap head screws imo.

I had to the first time too!

Will have a look to see if I can find some tomorrow, hopefully after doing this it makes a difference and if not I can crack on with the coils/injectors

I'm watching this thread with interest - mine's got a misfire on every cylinder so I'd love to know more. This thread was also interesting to me:

Update - had a good drive on the new sensors, feels like a different car acceleration wise, I would say 40% more power under VTEC and about 10% more in it, felt like an impreza or something when I booted in first and second such was the assured violence and grip when changing gear! (if that makes any sense at all) Interestingly though, it doesn't have the same blatant step in power difference at VTEC, though I imagine that is because it is across the whole range now...

Anyways, the idle is still 700/800 and has thrown the misc misfire code again so it isn't O2 or MAP!!!

Next stage is getting the injectors cleaned which I plan to do in a week or two as I'm moving house on Monday!

Car still drives perfectly and no misfires actually presenting themselves so will continue to run it and monitor how I get on.

I'll be back soon with clean injectors...

Thought it might feel different These sensors degrade and it's like creeping change. Hopefully more people will come to treat them as service items!

I think once you have done the injecotrs your code issues should go, but if not, move onto the coil packs.
