Default Diff oil

The local place i buy most of my oils from insisted that 'Redline' MTL SAE 70w80 API GL-4 gear oil was the correct stuff for my diff.

I'm confused as i thought it should be GL5 and 75w90 and told him this but insisted the above is correct and now I'm beginning to doubt myself? - whats the correct Redline one?

Sorry.

AJ, GL4 diff oil is the stuff they use in the CRV and not a hypoid AFIK. You definitely need GL5 rated 75w90 as you initially thought
