Default Disabled Badges

Just been for lunch in town & noticed that my boss's Range Rover was parked in a disabled spot displaying the blue badge. Nothing unusual in that, except the guy is perfectly fit & healthy, was not driving a disabled passenger. Plus he hasn't taxed his car.

I'd like to report him, anyone know where to start?

This really annoys me. I see it all the time, people parking in disabled spots when they're able bodied & at supermarkets parking in the parent & toddler spots when they are sans children. There is a women at my local Sainsbury's who parks her Bentley across parent & toddler spots!! Again no kids to be seen.

Why can't people just walk that little bit further or pay for a parking ticket rather than take the parking spot of someone who needs it.

Tossers!

Sorry for the rant.

I think GP's are under probably under a bit of pressure from patients to sign whatever they have to for individuals to get these badges.

I certainly have a former nieghbour who works across the road from me and she parks her car using a badge (which was secured for the benefit of her husband who has back problems) - there's nothing wrong with her.....

It would cost too much to police the system properly.

I'm sure he got the badge legitimately, maybe for driving a relative around. I was offered the same for my mum. I would never consider using it if I wasn't driving my mum.

with regards the reporting of untaxed vehicles , there is a section on the dvla web site for this

there is also a section where you can actually check whether or not a vehicle is actually taxed by just entering the reg number

The disabled badge thign annoys me immensly. My dad lost an arm in an accident years ago, however he's not allowed a disabled car badge because he can walk fine. However he clearly can't carry stuff as well as someone with 2 arms.

Here's a test to see if they deserve the disabled badge (sick joke warning)

Slash a tyre. If they change it themselves then they don't need a disabled badge. If they have to call the AA or RAC, then they deserve the badge.

Funny we comented on this yesterday. I had the misfortune of going to Tesco with my wife and children - it was heaving but what was obvious was that all the disabled spaces were full...but they were full of people, not a diabled badge between them, waiting for other people.

Now this may be a bit obvious but surely if you are disabled, its a bit of a pain in the ass to have to get out of the car and speak to one of these gimps and ask them to move ??

Some people simply have no brains.

It is a benefit of sorts, might come under this.
