I got mine in October 04 with 8000 on the clock. I've now done 39,000 in total.

Sure, the resale value is going to go down the pan...

But the S2000 is so bloody good to drive, it is a crime to leave it sitting on the drive. I use it daily, it is my only car.

I wouldn't worry if I were you, Vad! Just enjoy the

For my insurance, I have to provide a copy of the MOT certificate.

I am limited to 7500 miles per annum.

I struggle to achieve that (31K in 7 yrs) !!

Nearly 50k in just over two years.
Got royally shafted when I sold it. LL got around 3k more for his which was the same age.

So high mileage cost me around 1.5k per year. Bargain really when I think how much fun I had

I was discussing this with the missus and we have decided to get another car, not really to keep the miles down but I commute everyday over the Runcorn bridge and it's a pain in the arse, just sitting there in the traffic on and of the clutch, with kn*b heads stopping about an inch off the back bumper.

So a cheaper everyday hack is the answer!

2000 miles in 7 weeks, not too bad I suppose!

I am a bit later than that in the morning usually 8 am and back about 4 - 4.30! Which way do you go from Widnes or towards it?

Come to think of it I have seen your car after looking at the picture on your profile, a while back (last month or so) on the bridge, 5 spoke after market wheels, its all flooding back!!!!

I think!!

My S seems to hardly make it out the garage, what with me commuting 3-4 hours per day in my other car. Yet I've still managed 16K in the S in the first year.

Mine did 5k in it's first 2.5 years with the first owner.

I've put on 27k in the last 2 years, bringing it back to a reasonable par of 32k in 4.5 years.

My daily commute in the last 2 years probably totals around 7,000 miles. The other 25k miles have been pure "fun", including 8,000 miles around Europe. My car is now run in nicely!

I don't see the point in buying the car unless you are going to drive it.
You might as well keep your money in the bank if you are more worried about residual value than actually enjoying the car!

Widnes direction in the morning, Runcorn in the afternoon

Picture in my profile is nostalgic - my first S!
It only made it over the bridge for a few times 2 years ago.
I have had three more since that one
