Default do i have a engine problem?

there days i feel a lag when accelerate in 1 and 2 gear
it seems only happens in lower rpm 2000-3000
for example, 1 gear 2500rpm shift to 2 gear and accelerate the car will need 1or2 seconds to response. it feels like the car have no power at the moment

any one had problems like this before?
is it some kind of problem whit MAP sensor?
need your advice

VTEC Engine?!

I think he means his problem has just ocurred.

Could be a number of reasons. Could be just a load of hot air build up while you're sat in traffic... Could be the MAP degrading.

Mine does it, and I think most of us suffer from it on ocassion. Mine has got a lot better since fitting a new MAP, but it still does it!

I actually logged some data from my car when it happened and it proved to me that not enough fuel was going in, and that is primarily governed by the MAP sensor.

You can whack the MAP but I would never / have never done it. Hitting a fairly delicate sensor that governs your fuelling seems a bit alien to me

Just dip the clutch for a couple of secs and try again!

This engine is also prone to something that the old timers might remember. It just plain bogs down sometimes. In this respect it share a charicteristic with home tuned engines of old. In the hunt for more power you do lose an amount of flexibility. Even when not VTECing the engine does better if it's revved a bit harder in the gears.

Im pretty sure its a sensor / heat issue or it would do it pretty much all the time if it was a characteristic of the engine. Mine only tends to do it once if hit traffic after giving it big stick.

As I said, ive got it data logged that the MAP volts dip and the fuelling goes lean, plus im seeing levels of knock normally only seen at about 5000 rpm.
