Default Do i really need more power?

So I have a 7psi supercharged S making just over 350BHP (at the fly) - mods in signature.

I had a horrible feeling this was going to happen but I'm thinking of upping the boost damn you guys you were right with your predictions - i have got used to the extra power . Part of me also wants to fit an after-market ECU and tune - its quite exciting/fun, and part of me says what's the point you can hardly use the power on the roads.

The car never go's on a track, i have a feeling it could be a slippery slope where do you stop?, how much is enough power?

I was going to go with a 12psi pulley, greddy emanage ULT, 550cc injectors, greddy boost sensor (second hand parts) and call it a day, but then I'd probably need a clutch etc etc.

Add to the fact the engine has just hit 130k - i may push it over the edge (not a major problem as i have the cash to replace the engine).

TBH 80% of the time the car is not pushed and doesn't go over 4k rpm, the other 20% i kick its head in

Yours sincerely boost junkie.

My advice Aj, leave it alone!

Depends how much £££ you want to throw at it though.

I just sometimes feel like buying an aygo or something and having a TVR Tuscan in the garage - however it will probably been in the garage getting fixed most of the time.

I think the GF is getting pissed off too.

You have to ask yourself the question, "Why do I need more power?"

A built engine would take a lot of stick Phil, it may be an option when it goes pop however i would likely put another engine in and sell the car.

I doubt your engine will last more than another 5,000-10,000 miles

so if you can salvage all the ancillaries if it goes pop

and you have the budget for a new engine

why not?

I purposely bought an N/A car when I was looking for the S2000, I sunk a lot of money into my S14 200SX as it was so easily tuned, but stopped before it got silly.

Then with the S2k I hit a wall and wanted a faster car, going down the FI route with the S2k was just far too expensive, so I went down the 'buy a faster car' route
