Default Do S2000 shells....

Just wondering what happens to the shells of s2's where the engine has gone and the owner doesn't want to replace it etc?

Are they always turned into cubes? Or do they go to the scrapyard to be stripped etc?

I'm sure there was a thread about this car a good few months ago it was a college project and once it had been raced it couldn't be sold so they stripped it and all that was crushed was basicly both subframes and the metal that conected them every thing else found a new home

i have seen s2000's in scrap yards,

the shells would be available if you asked but most end up in cubes as there isnt a great number of people wanting shells to build race cars. id imagine a scrap yard would be after a fair amount of money for a straight s2k shell anyway

How much do you reckon a 'fair amount' would be?

fair amount = £4500 (cheapest s2000) minus engine, wheels, 'box, seats = £800 to £1000 ish

See I would pay that. I have all donor parts from the front wings back, engine and gearbox are all perfect.

Should I ring round breakers etc?
