Ive got 3 years free AA cover with the car and am considering a bit of car dieting. What do you think?

is it not the law that you need to carry a spare wheel?

unless you've got run-flat tyres or something maybe...

There's not much point in having a can of tyre weld if your tyre has a 4 inch gash in it and try exp;laining to the AA man that you're on an unclassified forest road in the middle of nowhere.

No it's not illegal not to carry a spare. However, if you DO carry one, it's illegal for it to be unroadworthy.

yes i do carry my spare... i dont race so the weight does not bother me.

plus if i do get a puncture i can replace the tyre and continue with my journey.
