Thumbs up Dodgy Handling

Picked up my S2000 today & have driven back about 120miles.
There seems to be something seriously wrong with the handling.
It feels like the wheels just aren't doing what the steering wheel is telling them.
After about 60-70mph It was going everywhere like there was some fierce gale blowing me about. Going over bumps with any turn of the wheel causes the car to feel like you can't control it & you really feel them bad.
I just don't know what it is? I have checked the tyres
The fronts are new S02's, but the backs are 1 Goodyear eagle grd+ & 1 Goodyear eagle zr50.
Could this be the problem? Tyre pressures? Tracking?
Anyone had any similar problem?

Many thanks
Phil

May be an idea to get a 4 wheel alignment done and check the shock absorbers.
Not sure about having different tyres on but it surely wont help matters.

Yes that could very well be it.

Get 'em changed ASAP. Also make sure tyres pressures are right.
Could be the tracking but it could also need the alignment doing check out the FAQ for some detailed info on all of these

Fook i wouldnt mix tyres like that. Get all 4 the same.

Check your pressures too 32 or 34 PSI all round. (dont trust the forecourt pressure guage either, they are shite)

I'd try that at first, before getting 4 wheel alignment done

Get those rears changed ASAP and check pressures, in wet weather you will be driving an accident waiting to happen. You've got different treads between the rear axles, and different treads and tyre wall stiffness between front and rear. Not good.

Yep that was the other problem it was piising down.
It did feel like a accident waiting to happen.
Was kinda sad though I was dreaming for months about driving it home

This sounds exactly what mine felt like after I had the clutch work done.
The strong wind bit is identical to the sensation I got when driving, and it was caused by the sub frame not being aligned.

Has the car had any work done recently? Id definitely get it checked in and tell them to check the sub frame alignment regardless.

Uh oh, is this a big job, did it cost?

Cheers

Didnt appear to be a big job, only waited about half an hour, and I had had the clutch done under warranty, so didnt cost.

Dont imagine it would cost very much, as no parts involved, and not much labour.

Worth getting it checked, I seriously thought for a while it may be strong gusts, just wasnt sure what the problem was, but sounds like the same thing.
