I've tried putting a double-din in stock position & it envolves removing a lot of the heater-ducting. Not to mention the knock-on effect of that head unit needing heat protection from the ducting.

I'm actually having a fully-custom dash built at the moment for my s, bit different to OEM, but easiest option would probably be to get a JDM unit and modify the dash to take a double-din.
how much is the custom dash costing?

CJ - Please don't be shy with the photos when you fit your new dash. Sounds interesting

Brian - In answer to your question the other day about my front bumper hole, all I did was cut a small hole in it roughly where I wanted and slowly made it bigger. I did put mine a little too low in all honesty. Don't forget the round the corners off otherwise the paintwork will crack.

Gritty does yours work or is it still stuck in Tokyo?

When I got my DC5 it had an all singing all dancing double din Honda Gathers unit.

Pitty it was all in Japanese and useless for here though.

I changed it soon for an Alpine double dinner

I've not done anything with it other than disconnect it when I got my new stereo fitted. Before that it just showed random messages in Japanese. I still have the Japanese software CD-ROM in the unit in the boot. Would love to get it functioning over here at some point.

EDIT: That was a response to surfymark, but strangely has answered your question too.
