Sounds like a great day! Good luck!

Would love to try this, but it looks very difficult. I have tried drifting in snow on an airfield over Xmas and its sooo hard to maintain a drift, but loads of fun. Don't think I could do it on a track without lots of tuition!

Try and get some video.

Good idea... may have to borrow a bullet cam.......

I am going to need all the tuition they are offering! They Guarantee you being able to do it before you leave... reckon they may end up having a longer day than they think

I guess they will have slippy tyres the works to help make it easier though

I really want to do this...and I wish there was more opportunity for this kind of stuff. Old airfields we need....some to teach learner drivers clutch control and basic road sense before they are let loose.....and some for 'playtime' at owners risk.

There's a fortune to be made somewhere......I have a 10 year old son who can now drive competently but its a pain trying to find somewhere 'legal' for him to practise....unless I buy a farm.

Any dis-used airfields in Essex??

Would love a play on a private road!

Plant the accelerator.............turn in and wiggle the steering wheel a bit to keep it going in the direction you want!! Then use gentle inputs on the accelerator trying not to overcook it! ;-) Just like they do on the Telly!! ...............Works for me ;-)

Thats advice is free from Edd's professional race school! !!! (NOT)

BTW how jealous am I???!!!

Anyone done any drifting? What a rhetorical question Jane! Why, there are some guys on here who four wheel drift around their local Sainsbury roundabouts every weekend - have you not read their posts?

Sounds like good fun - I did see something about it on Pistonheads I think.

You can download the 'Drift bible' instructional video on bit torrent if your thatway inclined. It's very good.
