Default driver training

Hey all,

Just got back from work, thought I'd share an (I'm sure all too familiar) experience that I just had.

Wet roads, roundabout, took it going about 25-30 confident that it would be all right but if not I'm sure I'll control it...not exactly fast.

Well, needless to say I ended up facing backwards. Lovely slow motion spin.

This is the first time I've spun it and I was shocked at how easily it went and how powerless I was to collect it!

No harm no foul but driver training is going to be a must now.

Be careful out there; I had just spent the preceding hour patching up some young girl whos car got t-boned by a drunk driver - so you might have thought I'd have driven more sensibly home....

Chris

mine did this on SO2's with low tread they are terrible for this!!

I now have Toyo T1-R and whilst it is near impossible to lose grip!! They are brilliant in the wet!!! The downside is the sidewalls are too soft and it feels like im sitting on top of a jelly!!

Id recommend RE050A I have just ordered some myself firmer sidewall and great wet grip!

Easily done, just remember not to power until you're in a straight line. Best to just coast round tight islands in a low gear when wet.

Some islands around here are notorious for totally losing it. Bad road design in terms of the layout, camber and surface. At least whenever it happens it's a mistake you won't make again...

Good old diesel spills on roundabouts make every one a new adventure.
