Default Drivers window stuck down - Help!

Coming back from work today, top down.

Decide to roll the drivers window up when it got to the top I heard a loud pop, tried to adjust it back down but it just started to come down slowly.
Window then refused to go back up.

Got home and stripped the door and found that the metal cable had completely snapped off at the window carrier mech'

I now have no window, but fortunately (I suppose) managed to get the roof up.

Has anyone replaced an S2000 window motor cable before?

It looks a pig of a job, can't even see how I can get to the mechanism

It seems there are a lot of people willing (going by a message thread) to help you out Lee. How long are you going to drag this "my hand is poorly" thing out? There is an expiry date on these things, you know... surely wifey must have clocked it by now?!

Replacing the cable will be a PITA...that's if you can even get hold of one.

Much easier to replace the regulator.
