Default Driving experiences 18 months with MY02

I thought it would be useful to put my gripes about driving my S2000, but i havent got a lot to complain about.

I havent found any problems on wet roads using S02's i just keep it in 6th, if its possible.

The only other slight problem i have found is if you are sitting in traffic for a long time the car is a bit hesitant until you put the throttle down. The only way i have found of countering this is to increase the aircon to about 4 when sitting in traffic, i am not sure why this works, but it does.

I would prefer a slightly quieter engine on the motorways, on long journeys, but i suppose this would make the car feel less of a sports car if it was quiet.

In general after i had my car modded for UK recommended alignment. I have found no problems with balance or steering.

All in all it has been eighteen months of enjoyable motoring.

Quite a testament to what is supposed to be a temperamental car.

I would be interested in other peoples views

I would probably concur with you Michael - I have had a few problems, but none particularly serious over the 14 months I've had mine from new.

The problems seem to not to be so significant when you get so much fun out of the car.

I like the S02s as well, and will definitely be keeping them - even in quite damp conditions the only moments have been driver induced.

Long journeys are surprisingly comfortable for me - I think its the power and the good seats/cabin. Even when its not being pressed, I enjoy the sound of the engine.

Overall rating, as you say,

What's a "long journey"? Sounds interesting.... do you think I should try it?!

If you mean the heater, then it probably works because you are taking hot air out of the engine, therefore allowing the engine to breath easier

Some dismiss the interior as spartan but it really is surprisingly comfortable even after long periods of driving.
