I think this is a silly question.

It's as daft as someone asking why someone puts their roof down on a cloudy day.

There are too many variables as to why the roof is up-can't be arsed is one of them.

Drove the length of the M1 with the roof down the other day, got lots of which was very

Trouble is that my roof doesn't go all the way down when it is damp! Could it be friction, weight or something?

We seem to have one of these threads every week.

There are many reasons, try driving around London in stop-start traffic behind buses that churn out black shit right in your face and you may change your opinion

Funny isn't it..never ceases to amaze me how my 4yr old daughter can sleep in the S with the roof down, the music on, at normal cruising altitude.

I guess that's contentment
Out of interest do you know if there is a recomended age limit for being in the S, most cars with front airbags don't recomend children to sit up front untill in their teens and over a certain height i believe, probably because the aribag is set for a average weight and height. Sure you wouldn't put your kids at risk but might be worth checking.

I don't know about anyone else but I bought a seat which 'locks down' a child. I regularly take my 9 yr old son and my 4 yr old daughter out in the car (not together of course).

The seat cost a couple of hundred quid I think but sits them at an angle the same as mine.

Also, with your babies on board, you adjust your driving accordingly as no one would take silly risks like that.

Not sure about the legal position but I'm not able to put a child in the back !!

I've found a solution to the roof not going down properly. Push a couple of times on the top of the rear screen (from inside), i.e. flap the material about a bit.. Seems to free it all up and it goes down with a much better success rate when cold or damp

Who cares what other people do with their cars - as long as they aren't crashing into me, I'm happy!
