Default Dumbo alert!

At the risk of being branded a complete idjit, I thought there were rear speakers in the S2000. Yet tonight, when I fiddled with the fader control, at full rear setting, there was silence.

Now, to me that suggests bugger all behind me, so why the fader option?

Yours slightly bemused

Ah!....it was all a conspiracy between lucid and Honda to get him extra sales

No seriously though it is a wierd one! The head units are effectively Alpine system boards with a Honda fascia so I guess to save R&D costs they just plonked it in there! The OEM loom doesn't support rear speakers but lucid has developed an interface that uses the rear channels on the headunit for his rear speaker setup.

um...right...er....thanks.

loom? fascia? channels? bloody hell, where's my Duffer's Guide to Technology?

no, seriously - it does make sense (sort-of). I've not got a problem with the stereo - except i found it struggles to be heard at 100mph with the hood down on an autobahn. ho-hum.

cheers Tif

Struggle`s at 100MPH? Now Tif is your man, I sat in his car and listened to his awesome setup. It feels like you`re doing a 100 whilst sat in a carpark with that amp/sub/headunit/speaker setup!

It worries me to think of a 70 year old silvertop driving an S2000. Bumbling around at 20 mph, hood up in all weathers, Val Doonican playing on the radio....

"VTEC? Bah. My Austin Princess never had that"

Actually, a real silvertop would NEVER buy an S as there isn't enough room to store a large box of kleenex, a tin of travelling sweets and there is no rear shelf to put a tartan rug on....

(running for cover)
