Default DVD & SatNav

Hi Guys,

I came across this on a 'Special Interests' forum. A guy in Australia has built a DVD & SatNav system into his front console - Looks great to me!

What do you think?

sorry mate - it looks shit in my opinion - spoils the whole dash. What is he going to watch anyway on the DVD ? why not watch in the house like most normal people. And if you can get lost in any modern country you need to be examined - get an AA roadmap its cheaper and you would still have enough cash left over to:

Buy more petrol

Buy a DVD for your lounge

Have a look at the one Magic Fingaz installed. He's coming to the SuperMeet (at least he said he was at the outset; he's gone very quiet lately )

Isn't that in-dash monitor a Japanese market option? My Maisto scale model S2000 has this very type of installation in its dash!

There is a JDM in-dash DVD nav option but that is strictly for RHD cars (the parts don't fit the dash curvature on LHD) so this guy had a custom build gone in fibre glass. Neatly done too.

Ok, quick bit of research and yeah its all good. So tif i'm sure you've done some digging on this - whats the estimated cost of install??

I know the plastic mould is only about US$45, and i kinda know the price ranges of the DVD/Nav units - but have you got hard info on what fits/best units etc....??
