Default Dyno run

I'm looking locally for a decent outfit to do dyno runs etc and possibly mods to the car.

I also just want to do a power run to see where the car is at atm.

I've found these people who are very local for me and look like they could be a good bet.

Has anyone on here had any dealings with them?

IMO dyno's are only good for mapping ecu's. It is nice to see approx what the car is putting out but the only way to determine a car's power is on the road.

I recently put my standard S2K on a friends dyno and it produced 246bhp, I don't for one minute believe it is actually putting that power out but the graph shows that it is pulling how it should before/during VTEC.

Sorry for the opinion so back to your question. I've heard mixed reports about them mate.

You won't need a rolling road until you do some serious mods like FI! All the mods you do to the car with respect to exhausts etc, wont have any affect to tune.

Waste of money IMHO!

Driver training is the best route to go down to get the most out of the car.

Dyno's are good for a base line test to see what mods you do to your car and if they add anything to your car. I put mine on SRR and it put out 187@wheels /224@fly which i was happy with. I have done catback and am on the look for a decat and intake and once done i will go to the same dyno and see if it has made anything. after I may have a go at setting the AF ratios a little and see if i can just get it running a little better for the mods and maybe gain a few ponys

All part of the fun of owning a sporty car

Yep; as I stated, I want to do this power run to get a baseline for the motors output. I have various reasons for this.

I'm well aware that driver training is more valuable with regards getting the most out of the car and I'm not interested in adding power mods for the sake of straight line performance.

I probably should have made my post a bit clearer really.

If you are going to do a base line chose a place that you are comfortable to keep going back ot for checks and tweaks after any mods.
Otherwise the exercise is point less
