Can anyone tell me how I can turn off the email notification feature - the one that sends you an email when someone else has contributed to the same post as you?

I've switched this off as far as I can tell, but it's making no difference. I changed the setting 'email notification by default' under edit options.

That setting will only take effect for any new threads that you respond to. If you are already receiving messages, you need to go into MYS2000 where you will find them under my subscribed topics. Just unsubscribe the ones you don't need or click the link at the top to clear the lot.

Would never have found this for myself.

 

OR, you can go to one of your old email notifications and in it, you will see further down something to the effect, "Unsubscribe from ALL threads".
