Default Electrics Problem

I've had my Moonrock MY55 S2K for about 5 months now and I've had a recurring problem with the electrics and was wondering if anyone's got any advice on this potentially tricky subject...

Every now and again, either whilst on the move or immediately post start, my ABS warning light comes on and all of my cockpit heating/cooling stops (including the lights). Everything else appears to work fine (including head unit, aux power socket and lights) and it normally clears itself after about a minute or so (or sometimes I will turn the ignition off and on again, which clears it...) It doesn't worry me too much as I know the brakes still work (albeit without ABS, which I've never activated anyway), but it would be nice to get it sorted (unless it's going to cost me a fortune...).

Any ideas or has anyone had anything similar???

Sounds like a dodgy earth to me mate.

Not a definitive list but I would:

Check all three fuse boxes (two under bonnet on the back right - if viewed from front and one under dash on drivers side) for moisture or any other abnormalities.

I believe there are various thick-ish earthing cables around the engine bay, I'm sure another member will be along shortly to say where they are.

Do you know if you've ever had a clutch swap? Or an engine one for that matter? Unlikely on an 05, but since both of those jobs require some jiggery-pokery with the main wiring loom I wonder if anything could have been pulled around.

Link to the service manual (page 2 tech FAQ), check to see if the bits going tits up are common to one fuse box/earth circuit/live feed/etc.
If you don't have any luck, DO NOT take it to Honda they will charge you sheds, go to an auto electrician (with the pdf manual).
