Have just bought a Mugen Exhaust (from chrisr111) Phoned Elephant up yesterday I have it added to my policy.

Thats just another example of insurance company rip-offs if. My experience with tesco insurance was that anything that enhanced the performance would only increase my premium. e.g. upto 10 BHP =

 

Then again, they were 80% of the price of the other insurers for my unmodded car.

 

I'm with Elephant and will be leaving when my renewal comes, they took over

 

They're one of the ones that class optional extras as mods aren't they? then don't pay out for them on claims.

ie. leather seats and alloy wheels are mods if they don't come on the base model and you specified them as extras at the time of purchase.

I'm in the wrong business.

 

Not necessarily Mark. If you worked in insurance you might need to use a PDA and a mobile with BT headset.
