Driving home today doing 30 through Lyndhurst all of a sudden my EML has come on......only reason I can think of is that it might be to do with my exhaust as I have a decat pipe! But I've had my decat for 4 months now and haven't had any issues with EML's.....

Could the decat cause this light to come on after a few months?

 

it happens, it's the secondary lambda sensor that has detected either a too lean, or too rich mixture I think..

That seems too cheap to be any good. Have you used it?

 

After installing my decat it took a few months before the light came on.

 

Did you use an eliminator? Just can't work out why the ecu would take sooo long to work out the O2 levels aren't as they should be...

 

if you already have the eliminator, although it can still give you a EML, it may be worth checking the car with a reader. Just incase it is something completely unrelated

 

Getting or checked tomorrow evening and have my fingers crossed its nothing serious!
