Default Engine data viewer

Hi
I have just ordered a new toy that plugs into the diagnostic plug and displays all the engine data on a PDA, it also give 0-60 times and calculates theoretical BHP
I should receive it in the next few days so will keep you posted on how it functions
Here is the link

I thought the Blizt R-Vit looked very good for this, although wouldn't calc BHP (which I think is very suspect anyway)

Yes I agree but it could be usefull for comparing modifications, I have looked at performance meters before and have seen a test in Car and Car Conversion where it was within 5% of the rolling road. They work by calculating the acceleration and calculating against the weight of vehicle (you have to input this) If you know how fast you accelerate and what weight you have accelerated then you know the amount of power needed.
Like I say I will have to see what I get in the post, I allready have the PDA so this route saves me

Are you sure that this will work on the S2000 ? I guess we'll find out in a few days ? Please do a review, as I might want one of these gadgets.

Sounds interesting - I have seen something similar before, but was put off by the price a bit. Could be another use for my PDA though - currently consiering use as a reversing camera

Quick update

All the bits arrived next day so I rushed out and plugged it all in and nothing!!!!
It seems the lead I was sold to adapt from usb to serial connector won't work on a PDA. I called them up and they have offered to refund the adaptor cost.
I am now waiting for the correct lead and it may take a while as its not a stock item.
I will post again when I get it running.
