Default Engine flush

Putting the old girl away for winter, done the usual deep clean and polish (not going to bother with a cover as hearing probably better to polish up and leave in he open).
whilst cleaning her down had me wondering about ‘cleaning’ the engine - are flushes, petrol additives, Terraclean, 10k boost - that sort of thing, worth it? Cars done 45k - but only really done 10k in last 10 years - wondering if she’d be if it from a bit of a clear out.

Has as anyone used anything with positive results?

This may interest you, it popped up on my youtube recommended videos. It shows an engine being stripped down after using some Royal Purple vs one which hasn't. The results are quite impressive.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with any of the 'cleaning' which you mentioned unless you have some kind of issue to resolve.

Tends to dislodge crap & bung up the VTEC system.

Just change the oil more frequently if it's concerning you.

All I do at oil change time is after the oil has drained out put a little fresh oil in and let it run through, you can see when the clean oil reaches the drain hole, it chases some old oil out, this may be totally pointless but hey it may only be 0.25l I’m wasting.
