Oh crap dude, that's never good. The damage may have been done before you topped it up mate. There's no point in looking into it in great detail now though, it's a bit late.

Good luck with the hunt for a new lump, there's plenty out there, so hold out for the best deal.

Just think, when it's done, you'll have a much newer engine in there giving your S a new lease of life.

I wouldn't have thought an overfill would cause that, unless you went seriously overboard with it.
Mine was low at the weekend - I stupidly don't check alot as it has never really used any oil at all - bad habit. I chucked a litre of good quality synthetic in and its now a little over the top - about 2mm on the dip stick.

stupid me.

should I look to remove some?

Thanks

Thanks.

Yes, basically there is a bloody massive hole in the block HUGE!!!!!

I have had some quotes. I was thinking of putting a 6k 2007 engine in there but i have a 2000 Year. Does the f22c engine match up to the bell housing on the original gearbox, and does anyone know if the car would need to be re-mapped or any other mods if a newer engine is going in there?

You can't get a Uk F22 engine. Japan and USA only.

Wouldn't have thought it would be a problem, but I'm far from being an expert on the subject.
Far too much oil puts stress on the engine and seals. I shouldn't think 2mm would matter.

I eagerly wait to be corrected...

Its still a F20C.

A 2007 engine will be drive by wire though and won't work with your ecu.

I'm guessing but as long as you keep the throttle body and the intake manifold then it should be okay everything in the engine itself is the same, someone else with more knowledge will be able to confirm that.

Dont think that would be any problems in fitting.
