Default engine mount

My s2000 is a year 2000 and it has a bad vibration from the clutch on over run. Thing is it feels very metalic and i wonder if it could be a gone engine or gearbox mount, also when i shut it off and start it sometimes when hot on idle it seems to have a clonking noise again like an engine mount is tapping on metal, has anyone had this at all?

Well the mounts are on the engine (and I think you'd know if one of those went, they are hefty things having just pulled my engine out) and the g'box has a simple bracket in the middle of the car which isn't really load bearing.

Hello from a fellow TW'er..

Could also be (partly?) the heat shield vibrating too.. mine used to do that in certain gears and you would feel that through the bloody dash!

Sold mine. I had an 01 black on black for a few years. It was a good car but house move last summer required the reddies and only gave us 1 parking space so the beater won.

Not seen a Berlina in TW for some time. Where you been hiding
