There are stroker kits available for the S. Toda do a good one which increases displacement to around 2.2, used in the ASM S2000 which is the fastest n/a in existence AFAIK.

Look at some of the websites like vtecdirect.com which can source such parts.

If you're really interested there was a set for sale recently, not sure if it was bought:

Transplanting another engine into an S never seemed right to me.

You have to think of weights and things also, because you can screw up the weight distribution.

Strokers can be done, but you may lose some of your rev limit and will have to go for a custom ECU. YOu also need someone who kown's what they are doing - I think at least 1 person on here got stung with some numpties fitting a stroker.

S/C is the easy way to go for the money, or turbo.

I can see the point as there are some engines maybe cheaper to tune than than the S(F20C?) Plus you could sell on the std lump to fund a transplant. I know of an MX5 that has a Cossie engine - have you thought of one of those?
It would be worth you drawing up a shortlist and then looking at lump and gearbox sizes, cost/availability and weight.
Let us know how you get on. Its obviously more difficult, unknown and will take a lot longer than FI but if someone can give you the all up cost of an FI install then you could add this to the selling price of your extg lump to give you a budget for the change. A wild guess - but if you sell your lump for

Did I read that correctly? You want to put a rb26det in an S

Why not just buy a Skyline?

Easiest answer to all questions is to FI the stock engine.

Have you ever transplanted an engine before?
It is a MASSIVE operation, and if you can't do it you will pay through the nose to get it done.

No way it will be cheaper than bolting on a charger.
A STROKER kit is a way of getting to a larger displacement engine by making the piston's swept volume larger.
It involves changing the crankshaft for one with a longer stroke, and replacing the con-rods with shorter items, and also normally the pistons.
Spoon do a kit for about

Fitting a non S2k engine into an S2k will cost you a lot more than supercharging or turbo'ing you existing engine.

Look at the sort of power PhilS2k has got from his Mase Turbo set up. Its more than comparable from what people easily get from Skyline engine and will be much more cost effective.

Agree with all comments above.

I cant see why anybody would want swap out our lovely engine though, I like the SC idea as in away it keeps with the idea of our high revving engine even though its FI.

Cossie lump in an S

Comparable with powering an ibook with a ZX81 forged by Crom himself
