Evo COTY 2004
Not really. Just thought it might grab your attention!
For the fifth time in seven years another 911 has won eCOTY. This time it's the 997 S.
So yeah, Evo tried to make it look exciting by hiding the Porsche towards the back of the group photo on the front of the mag and telling us that it was "the closest result ever" but somehow you always knew what was coming
Am I missing something here? I mean, I prefer the look of the 997 to the 996 (mainly because it reminds me of the 959 which I used to have on my bedroom wall as a kid
) but is this really the best car you can buy with a budget of just under

I don't know, maybe it's because 911s are so common in London but I'd want something more individual for my

The Maserati Gransport made the final 15 this year and I had high hopes for it when I saw it taking pride of place on the front cover (despite the hideous yellow colour that the test car came in!)
However, it ended up tenth despite the fact that they described it as "exotic, eye-catching and exciting".
Apparently still too many flaws (proving your theory that the Porker wins as the most sensible all round buy).
I'd love one - as soon as they give the option for a proper manual gearbox instead of the "flappy paddle" shift (er, and as soon as I have
