EVO magazine - Jethro Bovingdons poor review
Does the S rust? Yes of course. I would however say that mostly this is due to water ingress from leaks around the soft top. I am sure I saw Billman saying recently that he had seen the underside of 1,000s of S2000s and that he reckoned it is one of the better protected cars out there (I searched but could not find).
Yes I want an Aston Martin but I can't be bothered, I have better things to do than having the ragtop repaired all the time. I also have better use for my money than paying repair bills. It wasn't an Aston, but back in 1987 I took my V12 Jag for service, it cost £ 1,500. That was a lot of money then. Fuel consumption? Well, the angle speed of the fuel indicator seemed to be higher than the rev counter. So yes I have had my fill (intended) of expensive cars.
Like others they will have to carry me out of the S to the coffin when that day comes (can you be buried in the S?).

I mean, US weather and US cars for corrosion vs the UK is a very different thing. The rust protection on Miata's is fine for the most part in Japan and the US, until you introduce it to the UK's sea air, rain, and road salt...
Great driver, decent fella by all accounts but rubbish, absolutely ****ing rubbish, at giving a car a review
I haven't seen him slag off the S2 tho
