Already being discussed on itr-dc2.com.

I predicted ITR in top-3, with at least one of other two (and probably the winner) being Clio Williams and/or Clio 182 Cup (as evo have a penchant for hot Renaults).

The ITR, 5+ years ago, DID come 2nd in 'best drivers car in the real world' behind the Impreza P1 and ahead of the Elise and Boxster, but...

- this is best fwd car, not necessarily best drivers' fwd car.
- most 'tegs are now tired...and we all know how much Honda use bushes to affect handling.
- the one used for comparison was a 60k miler
- the Clio Williams is apparently #002...taken out of storage specifically for this competition. So it'll be VERY tight for a 10+ year-old car.
- stuff like the 182, Focus RS, Focus ST will be new and in vgc.

I really rate the 'teg - still miss my old one. But they're getting old. And times are moving on. My heart wants it to do really well, my head says it won't do better than place, and I'll be disappointed by anything negative they say about it. Gotta wait another week to find out...

Corrado will win. It's German.

ITR will be "lacking in mid-range torque" and "you have to work too hard"

Focus Rs as a guess, EVO now love the car after driving public release cars. The slated the press cars when they first come out.

Corrado won't come near. It's good, but there's a lot better...the steering lacks enough feedback.

Focus RS? Possible outside chance, I guess. They're certainly holding their value well, so can't be that bad.

Corrado - Too Heavy to be a contender
Focus RS - Trouble with front wheel traction under power
106 R - ? (GTi/ Rallye) - Rallye was initially a 1.3 (not going to win) then a 1.6 in the facelift model (still a bit poo!)
309 R - Ummm, do you mean the 309 GTi or the 306 Rallye - 309 = Shit (weird rear suspension) / 306 = potential winner #1
DC2 - potential winner #2
Williams I - potential winner #3

Next month lets have the best of FWD vs the best or RWD to put things into perspective.
